$2M budget in 1972-73

I am always amazed at how much they did with a relatively small budget. The futuristic buildings and other complicated gizmos. The giant fruits and vegetables looked pretty hard to make. The flying, motorized space suit they ride across the lake in. I looked closely but I couldn't see any wires when Miles bounced around. And this was the way they had to do it back then with no CGI.

i believe you can see wires when he is bouncing up and down in the expanded puffy suit thing. but the look of the film is great and quite original considering it's a comedy and not straight sci-fi. i always wondered if the very modern looking buildings were sets made for the movie or real buildings somewhere, either way they look pretty neat
