Takes place in Arlington MA:)

That just happens to be my home town:) It doesn't bother me at all but I'm wondering why exactly they chose Arlington (it's a small town outside of Boston MA). It was shot in NY so I figured they would set it there. Also I got a kick when Mary Woronov turned on the radio early in and they mention Roxbury--another town ouside of Boston:)

How very interesting. Maybe the writer has some connection to that town? I thought I heard it before but I was thinking of the town Upper Arlington since I'm from Ohio.

I think the writer was NY based. Maybe he visited Arlington and fell in love with it. It is a quiet little town which is perfect for this movie:)

Don't they just say "Arlington County" (as in Middlesex County, Suffolk County) rather than the city itself? I only ask because I live in Stoneham and the movie seems to be set in a more rural part of the state. The guys on WLIX (licks?) list a fire in Elizabeth and a hospital in Margartville before the Roxbury housing code gets a shout-out.

I do love this movie as it's one of several to use our heath care system (Session 9, Girl Interrupted) to it's fullest. My town of Stoneham could be used for a 'Salem's Lot type deal as it's just small enough for some really dark stuff.
