cut?

Got a dvd copy of "The Severed Arm " in a 4 pack "Flesh Feast" from BCI Eclipse (bcieclipse.com).For a film of this type and age i'ts hart to tell if the cut or uncut film. The scene in the lift had a bit if gore, but the scene in the cave seems to be cut. Any ideas?

I got the Flesh Feast DVD too w/ Severed Arm in it.. and it was cut..I have the uncut version on video. The only scene I can tell was cut was where Mad Man Herman was killed in his radio station. On the DVD it just cuts from the killer smashing out the window with his axe to the following scene. Originally, the window smashing scene was longer and Mad Man's corpse is shown, with his chopped off arm in his lap. Not very gory, so I don't know why they cut it out of the DVD.

Thanks for the reply..As old as the film is it might have had some damage spliced out.

The only version of THE SEVERED ARM being UNCUT AND UNCENSORED is the VIDEO GEMS VHS Tape. All others are the Cut TV Version. Beware of BRENTWOOD and ALPHA VIDEO dvd's as they are cut as well as CONGRESS VIDEO, STAR CLASSICS and MEMORY LANE VIDEO VHS Tapes. Only the VIDEO GEMS VHS Tape is UNCUT and is demanding HIGH PRICES on ebay and AMAZON!

Thank you very much for the info. I thought it looked a bit hacked. What a shame. I'll be keeping an eye out for that tape. Sounds like another good reson to hang on to the old VHS deck. Thanks again.

Warning: I got this movie as part of the Nightmare Worlds 50 movie pack from Mill creek. It claims to have the 89 minute version, which the IMDB says is the full length. I didn't time it or anything, but the whole ending is cut off, just after when the two people are in the car and the girl mentions her brother's cabin in the mountains that her dad supposedly doesn't know anything about. That's 12 minutes cut. What a gyp. Good movie though. Youtube has the whole thing up all in one video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48xcW41bmGs

You can get the uncut version from Sinister Cinema, on a DVD-R. The gore doesn't really amount to much, just a few extra shots of the prop arm laying around, and it pulling loose from someone at the end. It's nothing that was worth cutting out, but if you like the movie like I do, you'll still want to see it.

Code Red also released this, and the gore was intact, but it was missing a few expository scenes that were left in for the cut versions. That was unfortunate and just an accident on Code Red's part -- they pulled the DVD over it, so copies of that are pretty scarce now. Worth tracking down because So Sad About Gloria's also on the disc.

Wow..this is still on here. From what I can remember this was my first post on here, and that was 11 years ago.

Thank you so very much for the info. I'll have to check that out.
Yes I really like this one too, and think that it's unjustly overlooked if not a bit obscure. It's the scenes in the mine, and the ending that make this one one hell of a horror flick. I can't imagine being in a situation that's much worse. We're talking absolutely horrific.
Thanks again. 
