Okay, so here's when a film should be remade............

........although I didn't think the film was "horrible", by any stretch, it does suffer, as many have pointed out, from it's budget. But the story itself, is great, I feel. So these are the types of movies Hollywood should remake---ones that were initially done on the cheap, but could be made better. Quit taking classic movies and remaking those----take something like this, and make it better. It could be done, and would make a great film.

I agree, this is a decent idea for a horror flick, but this movie is boooring....

Please... no more remakes...

I didn't find it boring really. It was actually pretty good, with a really good ending I felt. I do agree though. These are the type of movies that you can remake, if you have to remake something. Stop remaking good or great movies and making them worse. Remake a good idea that could now benefit with a larger budget. Not too large for this one though. It should still keep that horror feel to it.

I liked it too (though the lead actor -also a producer-comes across as a weak link in a cast of not so well known pros).
In fact I am surprised it is not better known as it has a lot of spooky atmosphere and elements that are familiar slasher movies. The axe wielding mystery killer, the phone call traced to the location of the victim, a demented face staring out of a door Shining style.

A more deserving film for a remake is something like the Incredible Melting Man.

The idea is good. But then it falls apart with the entire 'revenge' thing.

Maybe a movie about the Donner Party would be better.
