when you realise that this man has been the driver in the Three major car chases of all times,the Fast and the furious pales in comparison! Too bad he's dead.

shareBesides being an ace stunt driver, Bill Hickman was also a real solid actor; he does a good job projecting a genuinely unnerving sense of silent brooding menace as coldblooded criminal Bo.

Reviving a long dead thread, wish I could do the same for Bill. He was also the stunt diector for the original Vanishing Point, was in Hickey and Boggs, and played Patton's driver in Patton. His chase scenes were realistic as opposed to Hal Needham, very talented, but well the black Trans Am never gets dirty, much less scratched.
While watching this tonight, I had a vague recollection that he was involved in Vamishing Point.
He truly was the best when it came to realistic car chases.
How can you take any of these car chases seriously after seeing the Fast and Furious movies
