Pacino's best...

Have to say that 30 minutes in I thought this was going to be a slow bore but I'd heard so many great things about it that I was never going to bail out. Good thing I didn't because the movie just kept getting better and better, to the point that I was sharing the frustrations of Serpico myself. Pacino did a hell of a job in pulling it off with some scenes being trademark Pacino. I thought this overtook The Godfather as his best individual performance.

Good to also know that the Knapp Commission finally bore fruit and it had a drastic impact on the workings of the NYPD as a whole. It's funny that 1 police officer just doing his job honestly had such an effect on the entire system so as to shake it completely.
