Is Blacula really dead?

I saw the ending of the movie where Lisa used a doll that resemble manuwalde. She shoved a stake through the doll's(and manuwalde's) chest. How come he didn't turn in ashes or anything?I don't think she really kills him.

reply

Yeah I wonder the same thing...
Well, there hasn't been a sequel in 33 years so yeah, Blacula is really dead.

That final scream of Blacula's was well done by Marshall.

R.I.P.

reply

It's called a lame ending showing ZERO budget and even less imagination.

reply

I don't think so. I think they intended another sequel. Maybe one of his vampire minions survived and would've come out of nowhere to take the doll away. The weakened Blacula would then retreat while the other vampire is killed. Not actually having been impaled, he only felt the pain, so he still survived.

reply

No he's not, as a vampire he's technically undead!

reply

Perhaps not, but he is sucking in the seventies!

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

It kind of seemed like they were leaving an open ending for a third Blacula film to me which unfortunately never happened. I would've loved if it did, though. These two films are great.

reply

Indeed.

reply

No there is a 3rd movie to complete the Blacula trilogy but Eddie Murphy is the vampire and he drops the Blacula name. It also doesn't show us how he was revived. And this one takes place in NYC. All 3 films took place in different regions in the country
