This movie could really take advantage of modern special effects. However, would the name be considered too racist?

NOPE! I don't think so and i would love to see a remake

A remake of this or Blacula would never happen. The SJW's of today would have a field day and this movie would be deemed racist. The only way it would be done is if they give it to Tyler Perry to retool it with coonery, and abysmal substance

If they were going to remake it I imagine they'd have to change the title at the very least. Those who didn't find it offensive would laugh at the idea of a film called "Blacula." I don't think people would take a film with that title seriously this day and age no matter how good it is.
