Theory about Francis' breakdown and the fountain

I fvcking love this movie, every bit. The philosophy, the music, the acting and I think it's extremely well crafted. I think he took the boy into the fountain to baptise him because he felt so guilty after speaking to Annie about their son. She guilted him about their son's death by blaming him for it and he wanted to save his son. At first he lied to himself by acting happy after their call in front of Max, but he was hurt badly, he was in denial about all that he had just heard. When he was playing with those little boys at the fountain he broke. He couldn't handle his guilt. I want to know what Lion was yelling just before he went catatonic. Either "I wanna fight him" "I'm gonna fight him" or "I'm gonna save him". They all make sense but if anyone has subtitles and really knows what is said let me know. Fighting makes sense because he's been hurt so much by living his philosophy, being almost raped and then beat up, that he wants to try Max's. Or he wants to save his son. That's my theory.

I also really like the ending how Max says I'm gonna find out what she said to you on that phone call and how he buys a round trip ticket to take care of Francis. It's my favourite movie.

I realize after reading more posts on this board the baptism theory has already been mentioned.

I think he just lost it and might never come back. Lion was intent on meeting his kid and making it right, starting a business with his friend and it all went to hell. Poor Lion, he was a sensitive guy...
Love this film!
