I have it on DVD (spoilers)

But it's obviously an off broadcast tape to DVD transfer I got on Ebay years ago.

Here are some things I noticed while recently re-watching it.

The music by Gille Mille is identical to the work he did on Kolchak: The Night Stalker (the 70's TV show starring Darren McGavin).

In the Electronic Communications room that Questor uses to scan all world events, one of the screens is showing a playback of the language built by the two supercomputers in Colossus: The Forbin Project (also a good movie from Universal Studios).

Even though the film lists Walter Koenig (Chekhov, in Star Trek) as a Administrative Assistant, I can't see him anywhere. I do think that his voice is used in the Conference Room scene after Questor escapes. It definitely sounds like Koenig when he hands the Red Phone to Mr. Darrow (John Vernon, Dean Wormer from Animal House) when the back of his head actor says "Scotland Yard".

The ending speech in the cave by Questor to Vaslovic and Darrow is beautifully written. That has to be the work of writer/producer Gene L. Coon who was Star Trek's great unsung hero. Shatner agree's. In his book he claims that Gene Roddenberry built the original Star Trek elements but Coon's scripts (and rewrites) really made the show fly.

In Leonard Nimoy's book, he states that Roddenberry gave him the role of Questor and then never told him he was dumped in favor of Robert Foxworth. He found out when he showed up for costume and make-up tests and was livid over this embarrassment. While this situation wasn't handled well, the Questor character was a little too close to the Spock character and I think Foxworth did a fine job with the role.

Overall, the movie still works today and would make a good series now. It seems to me that the show was going to be a high tech version of "The Fugitive" series as Questor and Jerry help someone out of a jam every week before taking off to hide from the authorities. They would always be on the run. Until the last episode.

I recommend this movie to anyone who likes intelligent Sci-Fi.
