Couldn't get into it

Just so sloppy, some of the cutaway scenes were repeated more than once, one right after another. Youd see a guy walking out to his car, the film would cutaway, and then youd see the same shot as the guy walked out to his car

I know what you mean and I think this was a fault of the Troma DVD. I don't believe the original VHS was like that.

You're absolutely correct, the Troma DVD is the only print of the movie that does this. The Troma DVD seems to be a TV print of the movie, and it also looks pretty bad. Most of the gore shots are cut, and I think that's why the various shots are repeated throughout the film, to make the runtime the same as the uncut print, although I have no idea why Troma would do that. In any event, there is at least one actual uncut DVD print out there, it's on a budget double-feature disc with the movie "Embryo". I paid $1 for it. The transfer on that one actually looks better than the Troma DVD, too. I don't know if any of that would make the movie any better to the OP though, since the violence isn't all that important to the film and the gore effects are really unconvincing. I love this movie and it's one of my favorite drive-in low budget films, but I can understand how it might not be everyone's thing.
