Fairly boring

Thought this was a real slow burner. Ages before anyone actually dies and before that the occult imagery is nowhere near strong enough to sustain interest. Once the zombie arrives on the scene and starts killing people it gets good, but there's a lot to get to before that. This was a peak era for Spanish horror - the golden age essentially - so this film really should have been better than it was. Essentially a remake of Hammer's Curse Of Frankenstein, thematically anyway, with a bit of Jess Franco shlock thrown into the mix. Best bit of the film is the chase scene at the end, which I actually thought was effective. Fans of euro horror from this period will probably still enjoy I it enough.
