At my school's 8th grade dance, (the theme was 'Stars of Tomorrow',)we had a little stand thing for parents to take pictures of their kids on. It was a sparkly moon with a blue backround and cotton around it for clouds. I saw it, and I said to myself "I bet they took that idea from Paper Moon!"

I have a photo of my grandfather sitting on a paper moon, like the photo of Addie in this film. He was born in 1892 Kansas so puts him around the same time and place as this movie.
