House Addie's Aunt Lived In

Does anyone know where the house is located that was the one used in the film for Addie's aunt? Was it Hays, Kansas, or St. Jo, Missouri, or somewhere else? Thank you.

In the film, it was supposed to be St. Jo Missouri. Film crews can work anywhere and then let the audience believe it's another location. I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly where this particular house is located. Thank you for your response.

Why are you interested in where the house is located? I certainly hope you aren't interested in driving out to or flying out to Kansas to get a glimpse of this house. It just wasn't that spectacular. I don't know if anyone lives there or not, but I remember the girl who lived in the house that was shown on the television show Happy Days said that almost every day people would walk by her house and sing the song to the show Happy Days.

Who are you to dictate where this lady goes you creep. If she wants to go see the house, what's it to you--typical bully. Get lost.

It may have been in Gorham, KS, about 18 miles east of Hays on old Highway 40.

The house itself is located at 13th and Fort Street in Hays, KS. Its now the Tea Rose Bed and Breakfast.

Addie's aunt's house was located on the Saline River Road east of Hwy 183 about 7 miles or so in Ellis County. The farm house where Ryan wrestled Randy Quaid for a swap of his new convertible (Ryan's) for a beat up truck was my Dad Clair's old family homestead located on the same Saline River Rd (it's still in the family...even though Ryan tried to buy it from my dad for his then girlfriend whose hobby was restorations). Gorham was in the movie too when they stopped at a dime store or cafe along the road (I'd need to watch the movie again to be certain...). As to the now location of the aunt's house...it was unoccupied for many years prior to the movie and had extensive work on it for the movie....now...it's gone...history...
