It's a pleasure, you pimp!

To what exactly is Liberty Bell referring when he calls everyone (except Hart) a pimp? My best guess is that he means they have others do their work while they do nothing. But why did he hate the Robot Pimp? Any thoughts?

For who would bear the whips and scorns of Hollywood... (;-p)

Bell was just an arrogant S.O.B. who thought that he was better than everyone else, and "pimp" may have been his favorite put down to use. I think he gave acknowledgement to Hart because he was the one doing the Contracts outline and he recognized that Hart had a better understanding of the subject matter. He probably felt he could get by without the other students' outlines (if it came to that), but not Hart's. That's why he was in such a panic at the end.

As for the Robot Pimp, I think Bell was just referring to Anderson's personality and way of expressing himself, but I don't think he hated him more than any of the others.

I must confess that I still use the term "robot pimp" on occasion, just because of this movie.
