Criterion should Jump on this
It seems only fitting. We in the US wait this long, we should get the hook up. And its an exceptional film. Not to mention Lumet's "The Fugitive Kind" made it into the library.
Its an interesting thought
Well you in the US are often far luckier than us and that's for films that were made here in the UK.
For instance 'Smashing Time' (1967) and 'The Final Programme' (1973) are two examples that never got released in the UK on PAL region 2.
I actually bought the NTSC Region 1 version of the 1971 Hammer shocker 'Straight On Till Morning', because it was years before it got a Region 2 PAL release.
