I didn't even know this movie existed until it ran on TCM last night, but it just floored me. I don't often get the opportunity to view a movie cold, and, needless to say, it's an even rarer circumstance that I actually manage to uncover a gem. This movie was so good that it actually made me a little teary-eyed.
Are If... and Britannia Hospital as wonderful as OLM?
IF.... is a great film, but it's nothing like O LUCKY MAN!. I'm not sure which I hold in higher esteem. However, BRITTANIA HOSPITAL left me cold (it's something of a mess), but it might be worth seeing for a few good moments.
shareI quite enjoyed BH, in a "Carry on" type way, but it's not a classic.
Watch If though, I'd say it's even better than O Lucky Man.
