Region 2 DVD is cut and here are the details

For those thinking of buying the DVD, I wish to let you know that the Region 2 version is cut by more than 3 and a half minutes. The cuts have nothing to do with censorship by the BBFC or anything like that.

Two scenes are omitted entirely. The first is a scene between two American tourists just after the opening titles. This lasts 1 and a half minutes, give or take a few seconds. The second is in the park when Ronnie Corbett's character tries to throw away the postcards in the bin. He is caught by the park keeper, played by Deryck Guyler. This scene lasts 2 minutes and 1 second.

All the other scenes seem to remain intact.

The VHS releases are uncut.

Hopefully an uncut version will surface some time in the future. But we may have a long wait!
