Elizabeth Taylor's rival in "Night Watch," Billie Whitelaw passed away, age 81, in London.

Didn't know too much of her other work, but always liked her in this--she had more "edge" than the usual pallid blondes who were cast in Taylor films. (When the tale required "another woman.")

Fine stage actress as well Denis. Also very good in the crime film 'The Kray's' based on the life story of the 60's notorious London Gangsters. Billie played there domineering mother. A recent film she was in which is fun to watch is 'Hot Fuzz'.
