This was not a made for TV movie. This was a '70's British theatrical release and when shown on tv, is literally butchered! It is a rare vhs release.

Yeah, I saw this in Germany on TV. I saw it back in early 80's and then again in early 00's. I am very interested as to what is butchered or if I saw the whole thing. I need this movie for my collection. It's one of the few(yes I have seen many) that really bothers me. I think it has something to do with her being alone on a rainy night seeing shudders blowing open and closed in the wind across the yard.

Now for the reason I came on here. I am looking for a movie that has a ball bouncing down a flight of stairs but it turns into a head. I am not sure if this was a story I wrote for school in the 80's or if it really was a movie. The only movie that has something similar according to what I have read is "4 Flies on Grey Velvet" by Argento. This movie is not even slaited for release but I can get my hands on it if I want. I just need to know what movie has this ball bouncing down stairs then turns into a head.

And another one. On HBO in the 80's there was a movie that portrayed a woman that went around killing men. This should be easier. There is one scene where she hugs this guy and her stomach opens up and this drill comes out and gores him all the way through to the back. I can't find this damn title either.

Any help would be great.

Dear cyborg: Hi. I don't know if you still live in Germany but I know it was released here in the USA at least twice on VHS. Once on Magnetic Home Video back in 1979 and again in 1987 on Fox Hills Video.

I am not aware of any release of this movie since.

NOTE: This was not a made-for-TV movie. The movie is only rated [PG] but there is a small bit of nudity so I reckon that part would be cut-out of a TV broadcast.

It likely was released on video in some other countries -- except I don't know which ones!

This was a theatrical release. It premiered at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Then it went to VHS, eventually. I guess finally it is on DVD. It's rather fun. Liz devours the scenery.

HI. It's not on DVD in the U.S.A. as of yet. Don't know about any other countries, though.

But I do have the 1979 Magnetic Video Corp. VHS release. Still in good shape, too.

The ball bouncing that turns into a head, is from The Tenant, by Roman Polanski.
Another famous ball bouncing scene is in The Changeling (w George C. Scott)

I saw this movie in the theater back when it was first released. I have seen it from time to time on TV but not in many, many years. However, right after Elizabeth Taylor died, you could see Night Watch on You Tube. Still love it!

Yes, NIGHTWATCH really is a terrific little film, but dismissed at the time as just another subpar entry in Taylor's cinematic slide.

So it got lost. A shame, really.
