Is it just me...

or is the Susan in this movie a little too cheerful?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I really like this version. I love the 70's (even though I wasn't there) and I like Roddy McDowall.
I grew up with this version because my parents taped it when I was little.

However, in the 1947 version and the 1994 version, Susan was a stoic intellectual who is taught to come out of her shell and use her imagination.
This one might have been taught to use her imagination, but she was way out of her shell and very cheerful...not stoic at all.

This doesn't bother me, though...I like this cheerful Susan.
I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this difference.
