Hi Does anyone know where one can obtain a vhs or dvd of this movie? It so good when it aired on CBS-tv back in the 70's....ANYONE please POST and CONTACTS as where to get this CLASSIC.

Would you please let me know too if anyone responds with information on how to obtain a VHS or DVD of this movie? I just found out a friend and her father were extras and she has never seen the final version. Her father died shortly after this and it would mean so much to be able to give her a copy of the show.

Obviously this movie has not been made available but I would like to add my request for it. I'd even settle for CBS re-airing it so I could tape it. I personally think that it's the best of the many versions and I'd like to have a chance to share it with my kids and grandkids.

Watch the TV guide. I taped it bout 10 years ago, but missed a good protion when taped due to a power outage. It used to run on the USA Network ( is that still around?) I think it still runs..

Please add me to the list of those looking for a copy as well. Or, if it's going to be aired on cable, let me know when and where so I can tape it. I haven't seen it on broadcast TV - even cable - in the last several years.

I hope they show this version again on TV. I love the 1947 version, but I like this version too.

I realize that this is five years old, but to answer your question...you can get a 'widescreen' version from Zeus DVDs (just Google them)...it's chopped from the original 4:3 aspect ratio. I've contacted them to see if they have the original 4:3 release. This isn't an official release, but probably the best we can do for now.
