Definitely deserves much more than a 7.2...

This is one hell of an awesome movie I would personally give it a 9 or a 10 out of 10

I think this is the one Dirty Harry sequel that is either almost as good or as good as the original. The remaining films are still enjoyable but went down in quality. I like how you get to see a little of Harry's personal life in this film.

Yeah I agree

I think the plot deserves a 10/10, but not the film overall. The formulaic feel was already settling in. While the airline hijacking and thrift store robbery scenes were entertaining, they seemed like fluff, with no purpose other than advancing the Dirty Harry superhero mythology. Scene like this had absolutely no purpose in the more important cop vigilante plot. They should have stuck with that exclusively. It wouldn't have been hard to cook up a couple of action scenes, like the hijacking, that were somehow tied in with the dirty cops. Also, the Charlie McCoy distraction was badly bungled, leaving his possible alliance with the vigilantes far too vague, with too much evidence in both directions. His role in the events is a fine example where a film should should spell out a definite conclusion, instead of leaving it so mysterious.

Dirty Harry was the superior film thanks to having a superior director running the show. Since the first film established the formula and introduced us to Harry, you can't fault it for the same reasons.

As much as I enjoyed it, I agree with this take.

That’s still a pretty good score.

it does not , it deserves 2.7 , it's a crappy boring movie

Is this the one with the rogue motorcycle cops? That movie was awesome. I should have a Dirty Harry viewing party. It's been over 20 years.
