I have seen this movie many times and I have some questions about pimps and prostitutes that weren't clear to me.

1) When a prostitute leaves one pimp to go to another isn't she marked for death or to be beaten up? (Chyna leaves Pretty Tony)

2)When a prostitute humiliates her pimp in public doesn't he beat her for it? (Chico in the Sushi restaurant)

3)Is it really that easy for a pimp to beat or threaten one of his prostitutes who is a very good friend to him? (Lulu after she got robbed and went to Goldie for help)

4)Is shoplifting a regular way for pimps and prostitutes to make money? Doesn't pimping pay enough?

5)How does a pimp get so much control over a prostitute's mind?

6)If a prostitute is arrested does her pimp beat her up?
