Where did you see it for the first time?

I am wondering where and how most people saw this for the first time since it seems to have been lost and unaccessible for so long! How did you hear about it?

"Shhh, pay attention. You may miss something..."

Saw it on Channel 9 in Los Angeles. I think it was hosted by Elvira, but wouldn't bet my life on it. 1982 or 1983-ish?

A friend called me and said he saw it on TCM and that it was truly disturbing. Had to check it out so I watched it on his PVR. Can't put my finger on whats so frighting about it.

I'm watching it right now on this aka THIS channel, which means that it's certain to turn up again. At least, I hope it will. There are a few movies that haven't shown up again, so this could be a rare showing.

I'm very impressed with it so far. I had read about it in various books, but I doubted I'd ever see it. Hooray for THIS!

At times, I'm reminded of "A Company of Wolves", and I'm always delighted to detect Lovecraftian touches.

I am watching it for the first time right now. I was searching the internet sites for some rare Horror films to download. I came across the cover of Lemora, and instantly knew I had to see it. I am very happy with it thus far, and know that I will have to purchase the DVD!!

I first saw it possibly at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, NY, probably around 2000-2002. Just saw it again at Spectacle Theater last night in Brooklyn, NY. Somehow I have ended up seeing 3 movies that Cheryl Smith was in within about a month now, and I wasn't even trying!

I saw LEMORA on television around 1976/77 on channel 8 in Richmond, Va. The title of the TV print was, iirc, THE LEGENDARY CURSE OF LEMORA. I was really struck by the creepy mood of the movie, and amazed by the director's ability to turn out a wholly original film on a non-existent budget. I didn't see LEMORA again until the recent TCM showing (December 2012), and I was surprised at how well it still held up.

I saw this film for the first time on VHS in the late 90's. I heard about it from a friend who lent me a VHS dupe to watch.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

From the DVD release which I received as a Christmas present this year.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

I wonder how that compares to TCM's version as far as quality? The film looked blurry, but I don't know if it was due to do much night filming, or just filming in poor lighting conditions. What's of is the end of the film where she is singing, the characters seem to bounce around the image when it freeze frames.

My version wasn't blurry whatsoever. It was actually pretty clear which made the use of color and the neat makeup effects look all the more beautiful. I haven't seen the TCM version but I didn't notice any blurriness from the DVD at all.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

Rented it from my local video shop in 1985.
