Budsky was a bully w/ the jr. Marines

If you'll notice, when Budsky fights the Marines he's fighting PFCs and lance coolies. Sorry but a kid with less than a year in the Marine Corps is not going to be a match for a PO First Class with three hash marks and over ten years of bar fights. I thought it was a bully move on Budsky's part.

Can't agree. A thirty something skivvy waiver who's principal exercise was semaphore, flaghoist and flashing light has only bar experience not Naval training to face a fresh, lean green fighting machine. It was a family fight you wouldn't understand. Were it more 'Badass' would have drawn his 45. My disappointment with the scene is that it didn't introduce some gound-pounders. Squids and leathernecks would happily forgot their differences to beat on Army. Airdales (and Coasties) are beneath consideration...speaking to service rivalry not the existential.

I'm not saying we won't get our hair mussed!

I understand. I'm a former Marine. Thirty-something is definitely not over the hill!

Ahh the joys of a friendly squid/jarhead brawl.
Good times.

Train station in Chicago, weekend pass over, waiting for the last train back to the Lakes. I go into the head and this Jarhead's in there at the sink. I do my thing and head for the door. Jarhead says "Hey swabbie, in the Marine Corps they teach us to wash our hands after we use the toilet." So I says "Well in the Navy they teach us not to piss on our hands." .......

Does anybody remember laughter?

Oh, hell, old navy steamer, I heard this joke back in 1972, in 'Diego! But it's so true about Jarheads!
