Help a brother out, I really really want to see this movie. Can someone direct me to a Region 1 NTSC copy?

Thanx

Is this version widescreen, or is it a port from an old video copy?

:-) And thanks for the link, so interesting looking stuff on there.

Thanks man, reading about this film has sparked some interest in me. I think I'll buy it, I just hope I make a good move, but what's life without risking alot experimentation, even at this low-down level on the risk scale?

I know this is not a DVD but . . . not sure where you are but I rented Last Days Of Man On Earth from Audio/Video Plus in Houston, Texas. They have almost 7,000 VHS titles for rent (5 for $5 for a week) with an amazing selection of out of print and hard to find titles, especially cult and underground horror, fantasy and sci-fi but they also have art house and other types.

No, I don't work there and this is not a paid plug. As a lover of movies, good and bad, I rent 5 or more a week from them. I highly recommend it to anyone in Houston. This place is what a video store used to be and ought to still be!

Mid-price UK region 2 PAL edition out in October:

Contains both anamorphic widescreen and an open-matted 4:3 transfers plus a few other bits and bobs.

This is great. Wish a blu-ray was being made available...

Indeed. Annoyingly, announcements for this 2013 Network release said "The Final Programme" was being released on DVD and Blu-ray - but it seems that only a DVD was forthcoming.

Shame, because Network had previously released some very decent Blu-rays of cult film and TV from the era, e.g. "Space 1999" and "The Man who Haunted Himself." Not sure why they'd consign "The Final Programme" to standard-definition only. Guess I'll just hold on to my money until they change their mind on that ;)

A Blu-ray needs to be released as the DVD from Network was poor. I watched a couple of clips on youtube and they were much clearer and lighter than the same scenes from the DVD of the UK release.
