why not new movies
im wondering....how come the japanese don't continue making movies of the yakuza genre and samurai series that were around in the 60s and 70s...is the genre dead in japan?
shareThere's still a lot being made, though with better special effects, and possibly more attention paid to period details (to go by this movie, the iconic 1957 Chevrolet was available in Japan long before GM had built any). Many of Takashi Miike's films are set in the criminal underworld.
