New Battles Without Honor Or Humanity

I loved these, and I was wondering if anyone had seen the next series, New Battles Without Honor Or Humanity. Is it any good? Considering Fukasaku made the first one at least, I'd be interested in seeing them.

Yeah if anyone has any info on the sequel trilogy please share, it sounds like Sugawara is in them and Fukasaku directed so what's the deal with them being so obscure? It's like if francis ford coppola made and released The Godfather 4 and 5 with Al Pacino starring in both and nobody had any information on them

The sequel trilogy has never had an official release in the US (and likely never will), however there is a site called Kurotokagi that sells subtitled dvds for all three, as well as the "aftermath" installment directed by Eiichi Kudo. These dvds aren't official, but the site that sells them is reliable and does their own subtitles. Though I haven't bought these particular titles from them (I prefer the Ninkyo yakuza films), I have bought other dvds from them and the image and sound quality were good.

Also, they have another yakuza film by Kinji Fukasaku called "Hokuriku Proxy War". I don't know much about it, but I was able to find the trailer (in Japanese): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDKtw5UAzA

@Megalon7

Thanks for the trailer-----I liked the whole Battles Without Honor series, so that was cool to see. I'll definitely look up more info on it, since it's in the vein of the series---similar style and everything.
