Didn't really like this one

The Yakuza Papers series, as unique as it is, kinda got repetitive at this point, so I hope the final two movies are better. While Proxy War has a powerful ending and the music is excellent, the plot structure, aside from being as convoluted as always (the storyline is impossible to follow unless you have photographic memory), is very bland and repetitive in this one. There's not much action in Proxy War, just people sitting around and discussing their alliances for 90 minutes. I wish there was more to the story besides the alliance shifts, something like actual gangster stuff and their crimes. Also, with all the stuff going on here, it's no surprise the screenwriter of this film had a nervous breakdown while trying to make sense out of the plot. 2/5
