Aftermath

Maybe at long last it's time for a sequel. Granted they're both approaching 60
and not young amy more, but maybe it's time that love finally triumphed!!! It would make my heart and a lot of others feel good to say the least.
Thank You

Yes, the ending was totally sad and miserable, and I also wished there would've been a sequel. However, I thought of a better ending that could've been used. Here it is...

After Jeremy learns that Susan is leaving for good, they discuss the situation. They decide that Jeremy should think about moving or visiting. Ralph convinces Jeremy that he should use his good luck at the horse race track to win some money to finance the trip. Susan and Jeremy say goodbye at the airport. Before Jeremy leaves the airport, he stops at the info desk and gets a flight schedule. Then he leaves the terminal with the flight schedule and his racing form in hand. He goes outside, hails a cab, and as the taxi is seen heading to the track (in the distance), the credits roll........

This scenario shows that there's a glimmer of hope for the couple instead of total despair. I know it's too late to redo the movie, but this is how I would've ended it!
