Great Lines

"Isn't It Shocking?" features some great dry humour including this exchange when a cleaning lady spots the chief of police and his secretary, Blanche and rather indelicately brings up the recent murders of the local senior citizens:

Freida: "Who's gonna' get it today, Daniel?"

Blanche: (appauled) "Neat, Freida. Think you're next?"

Freida: "It's no joke, Blanche."

Blanche: "Well, don't worry, Freida. He wouldn't touch you. You're too old."

Anymore, AL?

Yes. In the restaurant scene when the police chief takes his girlfriend and her children out for supper:

Barnes: "Okay, what are you gonna have, Calvin?"

Calvin: "Fay-shue-wada."

Barnes: "Huh?"

Calvin: "Fay-shue-wada!"

Calvin's mom: "He always asks for that when we go out."

Barnes: "Does he get it?"

reply

One more? Okay.

Russell: "Who are we looking for, Chief?"

Chief: "A man with a machine, a portable murder machine. So if you see him Russell, don't shake hands with him."

"The Man" which is playing at the theater Oates is standing in front of.

You mean the one with James Earl Jones as the first African American U.S. president?
