Kevin Spacey's ICEMAN Film Project

I remember reading a few years ago that Kevin Spacey (who played Hickey in the 1999 Broadway revival) wanted to produce and direct ICEMAN with his Broadway cast, but the project was dropped. I suspect that today (unlike the 1960's or 70's), there simply isn't the audience for a 4 hour long Eugene O'Neill play. Not when audiences are running to see the latest comic book or video game being adapted to the big screen.
