Just as great as I remember it.

Yep---they're throwing it back on for Black History Month (yay!) it's on the Movies channel here in the Midwest---they actually showed it about a couple of months back. First time I was able to actually watch the whole thing all the way through. Very interesting movie, except that it could have been a half-hour shorter, and everything seemed to take too long to get together. Liked the Marseille locations, however, and it was interesting to see a film where French clothing store owners being drug dealers on the side. It's always good to see anything with both Billy Dee Williams and Richard Pryor in their prime---this was certainly a unique film for both of them. I also liked the older couple--they actually made the film a little more fun whenever they showed up. I saw it compared to THE FRENCH CONNECTION, but aside form the Marseilles location the fact that both films deal with drugs, they're two totally different movies.
shareAgreed, they are. Pryor & BDW were great in this film, especially Pryor, very underrated performance, possibly his best. I'm glad Movies TV Network put it on, I haven't seen it, I heard a lot about it, very good film, very underrated. I liked the older couple too.
