Michael sharing a joint with Moe on the roof. Michael alone in the movie theater. The "Maybellene" sequence. Angie's drunken half-hallucinatory visit to the Godfather. Carole's dialogue with the four prostitutes. Ida remeniscing about her childhood in the ghetto. Michael's death. The final scene of Michael dancing with Carole.
Yeah, I'm with the OP too. Just about everything. But there's one scene that's at the very top and that's the last scene with Michael coming out the apt saying "BULLSH!T!!!" then he goes after Carole..their argument and slow motion pause dance was ((not to over do it)) beautiful to me <3 <3
Truly, the best way to end the film. Kinda makes me wonder what ever happened to Michael and Carole?
Btw, does anybody have the song playing at the end or what it's called? It played throughout the movie.
"I can see in the distance, a beautiful experience..."
that song is called Scarborough Fair written by Simon & Garfunkel and performed by Sergio Mendez and the Brazil 66 from their album "Fool On The Hill".
I have the LP record and it is cool as sh!t on vinyl.
·Snowflake getting beat up by a tough drunk after realizing that Snowflake is a man in drag and not a beautiful woman
· When Carole shows up at Michael's apartment after being stalked by Shorty: "Surprise, Sugar," she saids "You're on. What you gonna do about it? I mean, you're on for a few days 'til I hook it up?" And Michael saids "Uh, yeah, sure, of course. Right on." "Right on!" saids Carole, removing her top. "Sugar, don't you mean right OFF?" And then, Michael, seeing Carole naked, faints; and Carole, in Michael's bed, saids "Well, ain't this some s**t."
· Michael trying to avoid getting humped by Rosa, while his parents are kicking each others a**es
· The final scene of Michael dancing with Carole; in live-action of course
The musical sequences were terrific, and I loved the blending of animation and old newsreel-type footage. This is a decent film, but a few notches short of outstanding in my book. 7/10 stars.
