Why all the hate?

I love this movie! Why the hate?

Jurassic Park Returns April 2013 In 3D

It's silly, poorly made and filled with stock footage.

BUT I love every goofy second of it.

Probably because it is one of the more poorly-made Godzilla movies, in some respects. But I think it is very entertaining.

1. It features a freaky robot in addition to the usual monsters, which bothers some people.
2. It is one of the more "kiddie" oriented G films, which tend to put more cheese in the mix. More like a big-budget Gamera movie in feel than Godzilla.
3. Godzilla costumes from this era looked pretty awful.
4. Main characters who were annoying and poorly explained (at least in English dub).

So I can see how it polarizes some people. I enjoy serious sci-fi Godzilla movies more, for different reasons. One of my favorites is Godzilla Millennium, which IMO is one of the best examples of how to make the human characters compelling. One of them is even a child, a young girl, who is smart and funny. Then again, not many people like Millennium either!

It's the cheapest, most juvenile entry of a series that had become strictly kiddie stuff. This was the kind of Godzilla movie Devlin and Emmerich were talking about when they made their classic by comparison 1998 movie. But there really ARE Japanese science fiction movies out there which are worsE (GAMERA SUPER MONSTER, anyone?).

This movie is pure insanity, and its amazing. I love it

It's way better than what Edward's shat out.

Back then, people didn't expect much from these movies. But there's one thing that was expected: That GODZILLA would be the main character! Instead, he's the sidekick to a new character!

I liked it, but its definitely one of the weaker Godzilla films. That aside, Jet Jaguar was a pretty neat addition (even if he may look out of place in a film such as this).

I've heard originally Godzilla wasn't even going to be in the film; rather it was going to be Jet Jaguar taking on Megalon solo, but they felt he couldn't carry the film by himself, so they added Gigan and Godzilla into the film during rewrites, and the result is what we got.
