Face Painting Error?

In the "GOOFS" section, someone stated that the face painting Jesus does towards the begining of the movie is inconsistant throughtout the movie. THe face paint changes from scene to scene. I don't think this is an error, but a way of showing that Jesus could do miracles as a divine being. Anybody else thnk so, too?
