Is this or has this been remade?

I was doing some more searching on the release date and started coming across sites, like Touchstone Television and MGM and others not in this country, stating the Robert Luketic is directing the movie version (I think for Miramax)of the TV movie. Also that Terri Minsky is writing. Some of the sites seemed old, but Touchstone (ABC TV) was 2004-2005. I'm finding nothing on IMDB about it.
