this movies is a little before my time. is it scary or dramedy? comedy? someone compared this to A Face to Kill For or A Face to Die For, but this sounds scary.
I cant believe Joan Rivers was a writer on this film. I cant believe this is Rizzo?....Pre-Rizzo/grease!!
No it's not at all scary. Yes a lot of things happen that I suppose could make it scary but it's all done comedically and over-the-top so it's really all a bit too ridiculous to be scary.

I love, love, love this movie!!! I had no idea that it was written by Joan Rivers. I just knew about "Rabbit Test" with Billy Crystal.

Yes. Joan Rivers before she got nasty. It is a wonderful dark comedy. Silly in some parts and biting in others.
shareJoan Rivers in one of her autobiographies wrote that she was a fat and ugly kid growing up and she finally hit it big, got plastic surgery and was at an LA party and was talking to someone and told her/him her story and then she said she'd like to get revenge on anyone who ever treated her unkindly. That person said "That would be a GREAT movie!!". So she wrote the script, and there you have it.
This kind of story is called black comedy.
