you are a sad case -- she was perfect in the role, played it for all it's worth, showing she was a great actress. she was MAYBE 58 when this was shot, made up to look ancient and 'funny looking', exactly like a recluse would be thought of by children. a real lady, playing with the two kids and the butler. i wonder if the kids (later) knew just how lucky they were to have acted with an icon of the silver screen. just imagine if YOU could say you played 'War' with a legend when you were 10 years old! obviously she did it FOR (all) children, i'd just like to know how they managed to get her for the part? somebody had connections ...
