George V. Higgins' novel: 'Cogan's Trade' to be filmed in New Orleans

The movie will star Brad Pitt who live is Louisiana. Should have been made in Boston. Wonder if it was proximity to Pitt's home or the decision to cap tax credits for film shooting in Mass by the Hack Governor Deval Patrick that influenced the decision to abandon Beantown. Why did you guys re-elect that fraud anyway?

Yeah, it's nuts. Dems look at giving the tax credit as if it's actually money they're losing or paying out. In reality, by not giving the tax credit, the state loses out on tons of money that filming would bring in. It's such short-term and shallow thinking.

(not from Mass - thank god).
