Mispronunciation of MA town names

Did anyone else notice that at least twice, the names of two MA towns were pronounced incorrectly?

One of the characters refers to the town of Natick and pronounces the way it looks, but it's really pronounced with a long a sound, like NAY-TICK.

Also, the town of Quincy is not pronounced the way it looks; the c is pronounced like a z so it's QWIN-ZEE.

Not that this ruined the movie for me, but it would have been nice if they had gotten these details right.

I'm usually a stickler for stuff like this and think I would have picked it up if it were so bad...but didn't notice either, I'm gonna watch for them next time I watch it though.

I concur on Natick but on Quincy, I move in and out of the 'z' and the 'c' - usually depending on how fast and/or formally or informally I am speaking whcih is largely dictated by who I am speaking with. (I have a very heavy, East Boston accent).

I've never heard anyone in/from Mass pronounce it as a C.

I remember Foley pronouncing Quincy with a "z" when he's talking with Eddie in the park by the picnic bench. I noticed that because it was right.

I remember an article written at the time of the filming, discussing not only the correct disposition of weapons in cars by Federal agents, but also how someone pointed out to the director that they got Natick's name wrong. Looks like no one cared enough to loop the dialogue.
