If you haven't seen this yet, DON'T read the Criterion booklet!!!

In the Mitchum profile that's in the booklet inside the Criterion disc, the goddamned writer gives away the ending of the movie! Gee thanks, A-hole. And this article was written back in 1973 during production of the movie before it was even released--probably in a small way contributed to the film not doing well at the box-office.

Too late Sandoz... but at least we can both warn others. I can't believe the idiot gave away the ending. Plus that long rambling mostly incoherent "interview" with Mitchum. For a really great Mitchum interview check out Dick Cavette's 1972 interview with Bob. It's classic.
