I seen The Exorcist and several other horror films but, this is the ONLY film that gives me nightmares at night. I haven't watched this movie in a long time but till this day, I still have nightmares of Reagan, the house, the exorcism everything. I don't know what it is about this film that still haunts me today. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing????

I watch it often and am currently reading the book again. It is one of the greats. It has an authenticity that makes it very unnerving, even for an athiest like me.

Hell yeah...im too old to believe in this nonsense and it still scares the hell out of me
One of the best horror films ever

Both the original novel and movie were really terrifying...they were up there with the best horrors ive ever read or watched

The novel is scarier in my opinion. My heart never raced so fast....

I've always found the movie scarier. There's more of a mystery to the demon.

The novels great but I feel there's too much dialog with the demon. It's interesting but for me it takes the menace away.

The movie still scares the hell out of me.
