Fern's dad was a terrible person and her uncle was no better

Don't get me wrong, I'm a meat eater and I know animals are slaughtered so I can eat them. Wilbur however was a pet not a food source. Fern's dad and uncle should have known that? They must have seen Fern bathing and loving Wilbur and pushing him in the baby pram. And hell, Wilbur was about to be killed at birth because he was the runt of the litter, and not wanted, It wasn't until Fern intervened and fattened the pig and he grew bigger that her dad decided to sell Wilbur to her fat ass uncle and his buttermilk obsessed wife. It was like the dad didn't even care about Fern's feelings. Wilbur's 10 siblings were profit making but Wilbur was a useless runt, and I doubt he got much for Wilbur maybe like less than ten dollars. Her uncle on the other hand was cruel and didn't care about Fern's devotedness to her pet. Im glad Zuckerman had a change of heart and spared Wilbur. But still that pig was Fern's companion and friend

It bugs me the uncle was planning to kill Wilbur, and his buttermilk obsessed wife only cared about bacon. Man that scene where she was bathing him in buttermilk was like WTF? At least Charlotte saved Wilbur. We all know what the outcome would have been otherwise he would have gotten his throat slit and bashed on the head and turned to bacon and ham.

Just a vent....
