Palance is amazing

Jack Palance IS Dracula. He completely inhabits the role (or it inhabits him). His slow, tempered delivery is a stunning counterpart to his scenes of ferocity. Dracula should be frightening, and Palance’s take certainly is.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the lost-love angle that was mixed into several Dracula films, but this one handles it well, without sacrificing the atmosphere and scares. The Blu-ray, by the way, is excellent.
