This seems to be a black horror comedy.

The same thing happened in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. A character named Joey was murdered just because he was trying to make friends by offering someone a chocolate bar, but in a really annoying way.

Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.

And where do you think they got that idea from in Friday the 13th Part V? ;)

Don't just give the lunatic an axe, but then turn your back on him so that he has an easy shot.

I`m sorry for my lack of manners, but I`m not used to escorting men.

It's okay - they're "family."

For me that was one of the more interesting ideas in the movie. The doctor was a contrarian, and rather than try to cure people by diluting and nullifying murderous inappropriate behavior, he encouraged them to go full-bore – “KILL that dead body with the axe (wood log) – go for it!! KILL! KILL! KILL!” Make them step forward into the insanity, until they can find “the strength” to work it out for themselves. One of a few fascinating moments in the writing.

I think this resonated because I just watched the first couple episodes of season one of Hannibal (2013-), where it is so 'uniquely' taboo that the doctor encourages bad unhealthy thoughts....
