Pisses me off! "The Forgotten" is not the FORMAL TITLE of this movie!!!!!!!!!

"The Forgotten" is indeed the original title of the movie. "Don't Look In The Basement" is a title that was given to it later, after its original release as "The Forgotten". IMDB likes to list the films by their original titles, not the most familiar.
