Opening titles.

I know this might not be the best scene in the film but the opening titles are brilliantly shot. It really sets up the mood of John Bradley travelling through Thailand & Burma. Love the shot of him drinking from the huge bottle of beer while he takes in the surroundings. The main theme music is also awesome. Pity the scenes at the beginning make little sense (his girlfriend just disappears from the film and it's never brought up again) but once Me Me Lai appears it's all good.

Not a perfect film by any means but still essential.
