Why am i reading descriptions of this movie that don't sound anything like this movie. I finally watched Deep River Savages the other night. Then I went on to hmv.com to see that it is being released as Man From Deep River in November. Reading the description of this supposed Man From Deep River...it sounds nothing at all like Umberto Lenzi's film. Actually, reading it again...it seems to be the desription of Massacre in Dinosaur Valley. So now I'm curious as to what movie is actually being released.
Also in IMDB's description of Deep River Savages....it says that Rassimov's character is set loose in an area inhabited by cannibals. When is he ever set loose? I don't recall the tribe wanting him to go anywhere. Why would they set him loose?
If anyone can clear any of this up for me, maybe you know of a new version of either Massacre in Dinosaur valley or Man From Deep River being released. Or maybe you can tell me where this imaginary scene IMDB made up has come from.

It just sounds like the wrong movie as you suspect. The early 70's had a ton of films like this released and titles were changed pretty much non-stop. I have the video and I don't know those scenes either. Unless there's ANOTHER uncut version around.

Not many posters on this board... Is this film not very good?

I want to see this film, as it's supposed to be the one that started it all off. Would this even be considered as a horror? Normally I would look around the board a bit to see what people say, but it's all quiet here.

Massacre in Dinosaur valley is another title used for Cannibal Ferox part 2, it has nothing to do with this film.
